What does it mean to live a Radiant Life? I sat down with company owners Norman and Kathy, and asked them to talk about their experiences with whole foods, a primal lifestyle and the creation of what has become one of the most trusted resources for ancestral living in the marketplace today. What I discovered was more than a conventional company mission or philosophy- but rather a deeply personal story about health, family and returning to the simple things in life that truly matter most. Today, I have asked them to share that story with you.
It's been a ____________ year. There are likely many adjectives you could use to fill in the blank that would summarize your last 12 months. Personally, with a love for all things thoughtful and expressive, I could write an endlessly detailed list of vivid descriptors in an attempt to capture the essence of 2013. However, I will spare you the trouble of reading that kind of meticulous review and instead share a handful of our most popular posts from the past year. Brimming with pretty pictures, yummy recipes, interesting tidbits and fun real-foodie facts these posts offer a quick picture of the dynamic and beautiful year we have had. We want to thank you for your incredible insight, engagement, brilliance and tireless support. We are quite excited to spend the year ahead together with you!
I love many things about the work that I do: savoring rich whole foods, geeking-out with the latest in nutrition research, and testing all sorts of unique products that bring a bit of hunter-gatherer flair back into our fast-paced modern world. But, of all these elements, working with a community of innovative, impassioned, remarkable individuals is by far the most powerful and moving. At the recent Ancestral Health Symposium, I was deeply humbled to be in the presence of many visionaries in the field, and positively thrilled (if not a bit starstruck) to watch them present some of the cutting-edge concepts they have been working with. There were so many fabulous folks there, but today I thought I would share just a few snippets from the information they presented, and perhaps give you a couple of thought provoking topics to look forward to discussing together in the coming months.
I do a lot of writing about the things that go on here at Radiant Life, a whole bunch of writing. I know, I know...sometimes I get carried away with the adjectives, gushing for far too long about the pleasant sizzle of a coconut oil sauté or the synergistic healing qualities of trusted Fermented Cod Liver Oil and beautiful, golden Butter Oil. Oh, I just can't help myself! Like many of you, I am simply captivated by the grace of traditional wisdom and natural medicine. Yet, one of the most incredible things I get to do is work within an inspiring community of empowered individuals who are dedicated to spreading a message of health and happiness that goes beyond conventional approaches. So today I want to show you some ideas of how other people are using the products and resources we share at Radiant Life. For some more inspiration, visit the Ideas We Love board on pinterest!

There are few things more wholesome and enjoyable than picking up a good book and flipping through its pages. Add a cozy armchair and steaming mug of herbal tea, and you have yourself a completely lovely and enlightening afternoon. More than just a resource, a well-crafted book can offer sweet relief from the rumbling growl of fast-paced, manipulative media messages that we are exposed to daily. This year, we were inspired by many traditional food and natural living writers who captured the essence of what it truly means to live simply, healthfully and joyfully. And so, whether you find the time to make an event of it or just read a few pages on the go, here are the influential books we've read in 2012 that you don't want to miss.
