Earthing: The Answer to A Nature Deficit!

Posted by Kathy LeMoine

We as a society have evolved into indoor beings. Time spent indoors generally far surpasses time spent outdoors for most Americans. We are experiencing a nature deficit!

Ways to Connect to the Earth's Energy

  • Walking barefoot in your backyard, on the beach, in a grassy park, on concrete or open ground
  • Swimming in the ocean is also a superior way to experience the Earth's energy.
  • Sitting on the Earth, or on a chair with your barefeet planted on the ground or grass.
  • Walk barefoot on an unsealed, concrete basement floor.

For many of us, it is just not practical or sometimes even possible to connect barefoot or bare-skinned with the Earth. Spending so much time indoors and sedentary, away from nature, regularly deprives us of Earth energy, vitamin D opportunity from the sun, and fun, physical activity. A triple loss!

Barefoot Substitutes

One way to address the personal energy deficit that clearly exists as a result of our physical separation from Earth is to utilize barefoot substitutes while sleeping or sitting for prolonged periods:

Earthing book

Nautilus Book Awards Winner! May 14, 2011

The Nautilus Awards recognizes books that promote spiritual growth, conscious living and positive social change, while at the same time they stimulate the "imagination" and offer the reader "new possibilities" for a better life and a better world.

Earthing was recently published in German, Swedish, French, Korean, and Hebrew... soon in Spanish and Mandarin...

Praise for Earthing!

"This inspired and well-researched book explains the perils we face by being disconnected from the power and energy of the Earth and its boundless storehouse of free electrons. Could much of the disease, chronic inflammation, poor sleep, and more be the result of this? A brilliant hypothesis well-grounded in science."

Nicholas Perricone, M.D., author of Ageless Face, Ageless Mind

"Earthing connects us to Nature and Nature is the ultimate source of health and healing. This book is a manual for one of Nature's great healing secrets."

John Gray, Ph.D., author of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

"People have lost touch with the Earth. From a biblical perspective, people who lose touch with the Earth lose touch with God. Earthing reconnects us to the planet, to others, and in a sense, to God."

Gabriel Cousens, M.D., author of Spiritual Nutrition

"Hormonal imbalances are so prevalent among women. Earthing has a profoundly beneficial effect in helping to balance the system and reduce symptoms."

Amanda Ward, N.D., Encinitas, CA

"Earthing ranks right up there with the discovery of penicillin. This book is probably the most important health read of the twenty-first century."

Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D., C.N.S., author of The Fat Flush Plan

"Earthing may be as fundamental as sunlight, air, water, and nutrients. 'May the Ground be with you.'"

Gary E. Schwartz, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology and Medicine, University of Arizona, and author of The Energy Healing Experiments
